Better Hand

Version 2

Some days all the pieces fit together just right.

The local Little Free Library book-collecting mystery hero connects with a colleague’s child who organizes a book drive at her school, and another friend and her son decide they want to spend Monday of a long weekend doing something meaningful so they help sort those books and bring them  to your office so that you can give just the right ones to an 8 year old boy who needs just the right ones today so that he can read at bedtime tonight and tomorrow and the night after that with his uncle and grandmother who adore him.

And suddenly, a child playing with a deck of cards stacked against him is dealt a winning hand from a brand new deck.

Book therapy. It’s a thing.
